Will Corsair grew up in the Kansas City area. Even though he was raised by conservative parents, he was always interested in issues of social justice, getting beyond either/or thinking, and the impact that ordinary citizens could have on shaping society.
After college in the early 80s he worked in the information technology field and became interested in the potential that computers had for changing people's lives. He obtained a teaching certificate and taught high school social studies for a number of years. When personal computers became commonplace he returned to graduate school and completed a Masters in Library and Information Science, and he now works as a corporate librarian and information officer for a national not-for-profit organization.
His interests are information security and personal privacy, conducting research and fact checking, the future of journalism and its effects on democracy, and the increasing ways that the Internet and social networking are influencing our everyday lives.
