You can read entries from Kari's complete historical blog archives here.

Kari Ann Rinker was born just outside of Denver, Colorado, but quickly transplanted to Canton, Kansas with her single mother. Her childhood was shaped by her diverse surroundings as opportunity soon moved her family to Schenectady, NY. Kari completed her elementary education in New York before returning to Kansas. She completed her secondary education in McPherson, Kansas before pursuing her college education at Wichita State University.

While at WSU, Kari honed her communication skills as a barkeep. Kari refocused her education graduating from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas with a B.S. degree in Organizational Management & Leadership. She did some time as an accountant for various manufacturing companies, discovered that accounting was indeed NOT her passion and decided to pursue her love for women's rights and politics.

Kari is a lifelong democrat. She worked on Hillary Clinton's primary campaign, canvassed tirelessly for Barack Obama and registered many voters leading up to the 2008 election.

She has served the Kansas chapter of the National Organization for Women (Kansas NOW) in various positions for several years. She currently works as Kansas NOW lobbyist and serves as state coordinator for Kansas NOW.

Kari is also in pursuit of her Masters degree in the field of Public Administration at Wichita State University.

She is proud mother to her daughter, Chloe, who often outshines her mother at various political and grassroots events.

Kari Ann also writes at Everyday Citizen. We are happy that Kari has joined our team of citizen journalists. She welcomes you to read her posts here.
