David welcomes you to read his posts here.
David Norlin writes occasional columns for the Salina Journal and area print newspapers. He is former instructor of broadcast communications and English at Cloud County Community College.
These days, David's civilian, "retired" activities include swearing under and above his breath at ideologues and taking part in Salina projects.
He is former chair of Community Access Television and present chair of the Salina Human Relations Commission. He led a League of Women Voters study of city/county consolidation and was part of an effort to establish a Salina Complementary Currency with the Spirituality Resource Center.
David ran for the Kansas Senate in 2000 and as Democratic candidate for Kansas House District 71 in 2008.
His spouse, Janice, is an attorney and community activist. Both are members of the Salina Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.
