Colin invites you to read his words here.
Colin Curtis was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas. He graduated from Sumner Academy of Arts and Science and now attends Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas.
Colin is extremely active in politics. He names it as his number one priority, noting that even Aristotle said, "Man is by nature a political animal." He currently serves as the state president for Kansas Young Democrats, the co-vice president of the College Democrats of Kansas, the Kansas State Chapter Rep, and as the Judicial Council Alternate Rep for Young Democrats of America. Colin is contributing editor of the site, Forward Kansas. Ever since Colin was a small child, he has been involved in or working on political campaigns. Politics is very important to him because he believes that it's only through being involved can we help to shape the world around us. He is a enthusiastic organizer and always encourages others to join him in his efforts.
One of his favorite quotes is from Ghandi, "Power is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love. Power based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment."
Colin also blogs at our sister site, Everyday Citizen.
