I like that video; it makes some very good points. But you know what point it left out?
I remember what it was like to grow up in a country where it only took one income to support a family. I remember what it was like to live in a country where you could get a job if you wanted one and companies gratefully contributed to pensions for their employees' eventual retirement. I remember being able to pay for children's health care WITHOUT insurance. I remember going to neighborhood schools that were properly funded and provided a quality education. I remember when this country VALUED its middle class and its working citizens. I remember when companies were good corporate citizens, before GREED ran out of control and neo-conservative financial policies were enacted causing full-scale economic collapse. I remember when this nation was great and we could all be proud of the parts we played in keeping it that way. And I remember whose policies and "values" destroyed all of that.
You won't see me stomping for the Democrats because they are part of our corrupt system. But you won't catch me voting Republican--even if they held a gun to my head. Voting (R) is the sure path to ruin.
