They voted to provide all Americans the same health care coverage that insurance companies provide - only better. The Stupak-Pitts amendment allows the government to illegalize procedures that nearly every other insurance company routinely covers. Please show these House members that you support and appreciate their vote.

Seventeen members of the House said no to allow the government to represent a minority over the majority. Each of these seventeen representatives is from a tough district, Americans need to help re-elect and send a loud signal to Congress.
No health care bill has ever passed in the House. These candidates have said No to big money interest and No to overwhelming pressure and stood up for all Americans on this historical legislation.
Between now and November 2010 join in supporting these Democratic House members. Give them an overwhelming incentive to vote the same when the Senate bill returns to the House for approval.
What you give will be testament that you support health care for all.

Thank YOU for bringing this to the attention of Kansas readers. I am outraged that so many Democrats are willing to sell women's healthcare rights down the river and relieved to to see that Dennis Moore was not one of them.
The Stupak-Pitts amendment must be stripped from the final bill. Compromise does not need to include making women second-class citizens. Pregnancy, childbirth and raising children takes an emotional, physical, financial and psychological toll on women. Women bear the brunt of the responsibility in our society. Women should be able to make their own healthcare decisions and not be barred from any option that they and their healthcare provider feel is in their best interest. This is the same kind of government control that conservatives were screaming about at their tea parties over the summer. Why would any Democrat agree to codify this sort of discrimination?
Thanks again, Denise!
